They do so either by avoiding being noticed or barring. They are about 3 feet tall and appear harmless and have managed to survive for centuries in the shadows of empires and wars. They are made in a way that they remain stout and weigh between 40-45 pounds. Their skin color ranges from tan to pale with a ruddy cast and their hair is brown or sandy in color. They have hazel colored eyes. They usually carry a long sideburn but beards are very rare in their community. They wear simple, comfortable, and practical clothes that are bright in color.

They extend beyond their clothing and are mainly concerned with fulfilling their basic needs and simple pleasures. Even the wealthiest halflings prefer to keep all their treasures locked in a cell rather than putting them on display and showing it off. They have a knack to find the most straightforward solution to a problem and have a little patience for dithering. They are very affable and cheerful and cherish their binds inside and outside their family.
